Stupa consecration in Yeshe Sal Ling

Consecration of the Stupa of Yeshe Sal Ling, (originally planned for 2020) finally happening in 2022

The festivities will consist of three parts: the actual consecration of the stupa, an empowerment given by Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche, and, as cultural program, a recital of nomad songs from Kham by Gazom Lhamo.

July 1: Recital of songs from Kham by Gazom Lhamo

Gazom Lhamo will lend her impressive voice to traditional songs from her native province Kham in Tibet. The recital takes place in "Cursaal", Schöcklstrasse 7, 8061 St. Radegund bei Graz, Austria. Time: July 1, 2022, 7-8pm. Also, Gazom Lhamo will teach melodies for the essential mantras of Bön in a short workshop sometime July 2 or 3. (Details to follow).

July 2-3: The actual consecration of the Stupa

Several great Lamas, including Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche, and Lama Sangye Mönlam, the resident Lama of Yeshe Sal Ling, will perform consecration rituals for the stupa, according to the cycle of Namdak.

July 4: Namdak Empowerment given by Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche

On the occasion of the consecration of the Stupa of Yeshe Sal Ling, Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche will give an empowerment (Wang) of Namdak. Namdak, literally, completely pure, is the name of an emanation of Satrig Ersang, similar to Sherab Jyamma, who is usually invoked at the beginning of projects to ask for success and freedom from obstacles. Thus, this empowerment is especially valuable for all those who are just starting a project or setting out on a new path, whether private or related to work. Namdak is one of three closely connected Yidam cycles: Ma Gyud (mother tantra), Sherab Jyamma, and, Namdak.

Registration: For registration, send mail to contact@yeshesalling.org (Dorothea). Regarding accommodation, the building of Yeshe Sal Ling itself will be completely occupied by visiting Lamas. If there are many registrations (more than there are rooms for rent in Radegund) we might rent a house close to Yeshe Sal Ling for July 1-4, so that everybody who wants to attend the ceremony finds a place to stay. For the days before and after the ceremonies, it should be possible to find a room in one of the inns in the vicinity of Yeshe Sal Ling (see here).
