The consecration of the stupa of Yeshe Sal Ling has been postponed to 2021 !

Below is the program that was planned for 2020. We hope we can realize all parts of the program in 2021. As soon as a new date is fixed, it will appear here.

Consecration of the Stupa of Yeshe Sal Ling, May 1-3, 2020

The festivities will consist of three parts: the actual consecration of the stupa, an empowerment given by Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche, and a recital and mantra workshop with Gazom Lhamo.

The actual consecration of the Stupa

Several great Lamas, including Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche, Geshe Gelek Jinpa, and, Lama Sangye Mönlam, the resident Lama of Yeshe Sal Ling, will perform consecration rituals for the stupa, according to the cycle of Namdak.

Namdak Empowerment given by Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche

On the occasion of the consecration of the Stupa of Yeshe Sal Ling, Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche will give an empowerment (Wang) of Namdak. Namdak, literally, completely pure, is the name of an emanation of Satrig Ersang, similar to Sherab Jyamma, who is usually invoked at the beginning of projects, to ask for success and freedom from obstacles. Thus, this empowerment is especially valuable for all those who are just starting a project or setting out on a new path, whether private or related to work.

Gazom Lhamo sings and teaches a mantra workshop

The celebrated Tibetan singer Gazom Lhamo will give a recital of Tibetan songs. Besides being a wonderful vocalist, Gazom Lhamo is a practitoner of Bön and well versed in its ritual music. In addition to her recital, Gazom Lhamo will hold a workshop for mantra melodies, teaching various traditional melodies to which the essential mantras of Bön are chanted, to those who are interested.

Registration: For registration, send mail to yeshesalling@disroot.org (Dorothea). Regarding accommodation, we have rented a house (Kinderlandvilla) close to Yeshe Sal Ling for the four nights of April 30 to May 4, so that everybody who wants to attend the ceremony finds a place to stay, even though all the rooms of Yeshe Sal Ling itself will be needed for housing Lamas. For the days before and after the ceremonies, it should be possible to find a room in one of the inns in the vicinity of Yeshe Sal Ling (see here).
