On Lama Sangye Monlam's Ma Gyud teachings:
Lama Sangye teaches in a very direct and authentic way,
transmitting to us the mother tantra practices that he has learned
in Menri monastery and in Triten Norbutse monastery, and that are
part of his personal daily practice - no more, no less.
He teaches in the traditional Tibetan manner, without any
embelishments for Westerners, tantric methods that he has practiced
for decades and he brings his experience into his teachings.
This experience together with his great kindness make him a rare
and trustworthy guide to Bön tantra.

      About the Ma Gyud:
Ma Gyud (mother tantra) is an important high
tantra of the Bön tradition. It is the main source of
Tsa Lung in the Bön tradition - the source
of Tummo, Phowa, Chöd, dream yoga and
      Bardo practice.
As a "high" tantra, the Ma Gyud is very well compatible with
Dzogchen. Indeed, techniques from the Ma Gyud are universally
used by Bönpo Dzogchenpas for the removal of obstacles,
physical, mental or otherwise. Since Bön Tantra and
Bön Dzogchen share a common basis, the state of awareness
called "natural state", methods from the Ma Gyud for entering
this state can be very useful for the Dzogchen practitioner.
In his teachings in 2013, Lama Sangye will focus on these
      methods.
